the unquestionable commercial success of the peugeot 206 cc could not let the competition indifferent / opel was the first to react, with a small coupé/convertible based on the corsa / incidentally, the tigra monicker, dropped in 2000, has been revived / like peugeot, opel has commissioned heuliez for the design and production of the retractable roof / this deal came at the right time for the french supplier, in order to feed its production lines after the stopping of the 206 cc, as the 207 cc has been designed and is manufactured by peugeot itself

the opel tigra twintop distinguishes itself from the competition as it's only a 2-seater : instead of the almost unserviceable rear seat fitted in the 206 cc, the colt czc or the micra c+c, there is an additional luggage space / another special feature : upon request, the rear part of the roof may be painted in a contrasting color

since its launch, the tigra twintop hasn't evolved a bit, but it is now available in the uk as a vauxhall, and even in australia as a holden
