even if the nissan micra c+c has been officially unveiled in june 2005, it had been known for 3 years as a concept car / the final version is aesthetically very close to the prototype, and apart from the new bumpers and lamps that have been fitted to the whole restyled micra range, the main differences are details like wheels or gas lid and the choice of colors and materials, especially in the cockpit / conversely, the roof kinematics have been totally revised / for the concept car, heuliez had designed an advanced roof whose two parts were stowed one on another in order to save space in the trunk / the production c+c sports a much more classical foldable roof, designed jointly with karmann / watertightness seems to have been improved as show the thicker seals around the side windows

the german coachbuilder is also involved in the production process which will take place in the english plant of sunderland / the micra c+c should be available in fall 2005 and nissan anticipates an output of 20000 units per year / the sole version unveiled yet is fitted with the most powerful engine available in the micra range, but other versions might appear later
