on the occasion of the 2005 geneva motor show, mercedes-benz has unveiled an sl-based show car / on the outside, the vision sl 400 cdi biturbo is identical to a sl, apart from the special paint / the main difference is inside : a diesel v8 with two turbochargers provides 315 horsepowers and a huge 730 nm torque / performances are better than sl 500's, but the fuel consumption is much lower of course / even if no production of such a model has been announced yet, there's quite a chance for a diesel engine to appear in the sl range in the near future / mercedes-benz probably revealed its intentions with this concept car
